Life skills are the things you need to know how to do in order to take care of yourself as an adults.  For example, taking the bus, banking, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, bathing, laundry, keeping appointments, communicating, and staying safe.

A life worker can help and support you to learn these kinds of skills.

If your Doctor has confirmed that you have a developmental disability and/or if you receive monthly disability benefits from the governments, you are eligible.  The service is free with the help of Community Living B.C (CLBC) or you can pay for it yourself.

Contact the Community Living Services Coordinator at Sea to Sky Community Services for more information at 1-877-892-2022.
