Sea to Sky Career Education offers programs for high school students in SD48 looking to gain valuable work experience or apprenticeship while acquiring high school and post secondary credits.

There are a number of programs offered by SD48 through Howe Sound, Whistler and Pemberton Secondary Schools to give youth a chance to try out different trades or work environments to get a head start on their career:

WEX – work experience through internship or experiential learning

ACEIT – accelerated credit enrollment in industry training; learn from skilled tradespeople and instructors and take home a paycheque

SSA – secondary school apprenticeship; get experience on a real job site while you learn

Please contact your school counselor at Pemberton Secondary School first as they can assist you locally. Otherwise, call the Career Programs Assistant for more information. We would also like to hear from employers interested in hiring an apprentice or intern.
